In recent times, the Iraqi Telemedicine Center (ITC) has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative aimed at educating healthcare students and professionals across Iraq. Aptly titled "TelemedEdu: Nurturing Tomorrow's Caregivers," this ongoing program is set to revolutionize the healthcare landscape by imparting crucial knowledge on telemedicine concepts, practices, and technologies.
The inaugural event, held on October 30, 2016, marked the commencement of this educational journey. Hosted by the Branch of Human Anatomy, under the esteemed patronage of Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Al-Nahrain, the seminar titled "Telemedicine: An Opportunity for Advancing Healthcare in Iraq" was a resounding success. Chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Muthanna Al-Kaabi and Ms. Christa Wigman, the event garnered enthusiastic participation from deans of various faculties and teaching staff specializing in diverse medical fields.
Building on this success, the ITC, in collaboration with the College of Dentistry at the University of Iraq, organized a second event on November 14, 2016. This event, a pivotal moment in the TelemedEdu program, was graced by the presence of Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, the President of the University of Iraq.
These events, the first in a captivating series of educational endeavors, emphasize the ITC's commitment to fostering a new era of healthcare professionals equipped with telemedicine expertise.
