The Iraqi Telemedicine Center: Pioneering Research in Healthcare

Updated: Jul 19

In its relentless pursuit of improving healthcare accessibility and quality, the Iraqi Telemedicine Center has emerged not only as a provider of essential medical services but also as a dynamic hub for groundbreaking research. This multifaceted organization is staffed with a diverse team of experienced and young researchers, well-versed in conducting a wide spectrum of research, including medical, clinical, qualitative, and community-based studies. At the helm of this research-driven initiative is the center's founder, Dr. Khaldoon Al-Moosawi, a visionary leader with a Master's degree in Public Health, specializing in Epidemiology, who also serves as the Chief Researcher at the Iraqi Telemedicine Center. The center's pioneering research endeavors have already made a significant impact, as exemplified by its inaugural study, "Survey Study: Reality Check of Internet & Telemedicine Use in Iraqi Hospitals" which was published in the prestigious Journal of the International Society for Telemedicine and Ehealth in 2017.
